Shalaiyah holds a Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Liberty University. Prior to her Master’s degree, Shalaiyah earned her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Minor in Health Promotion from The University of Texas at El Paso, where she received a full Track & Field Scholarship. Shalaiyah is a Certified Recovery Coach.

As a Licensed Graduate Marriage and Family Therapist, Shalaiyah’s specialty is working with couples, children, young adults, and families. Clients have described Shalaiyah as direct, but approachable. She works with clients who have been impacted by substance use disorder, trauma, clients struggling with anger management, clients struggling with sexual concerns, and clients adjusting to life changes.

While working towards her licensure, Shalaiyah started a Life Coaching business called Essential Connections, LLC., where she provides services such as, Life Coaching, Premarital Coaching, Executive Function Coaching, Intimacy Coaching and much more.
